Vipassana Meditation

If you’re looking for a winter Vipassana retreat that’s somewhere warm but not too far from Europe then Morocco might be worth looking at. There’s a Vipassana center not far from Fes where you can make a ten-day retreat in silence listening to Goenke on tape explaining the Dharma.

If it would be your first time, however, you might want to read about Vipassana retreats first!

On our Sahara retreat we work with some principles of Vipassana such as mindfulness, awareness of bodily sensations and silence when we climb the big dune for our sunset meditation, but we also work with singing, sharing and generally opening the heart both alone and with the group.

We love to create a space where people can find themselves and melt their personal borders in an environment free from dogma and beliefs. You can be a Buddhist practitioner or an ardent atheist and still find peace, learning and love in the Sahara!
